We have been involved with the Life Insurance Industry for over 20 years. In 1992 we embarked on a large, in-house software development project that was innovative for its time. Originally written in FoxPro, this application automated hundreds of tasks that were performed on a daily basis to administer life and health insurance policies. Today it manages the administration effort on tens of thousands of policies, manages and reconciles billing, payment and all in-house related management tasks that are required. Paramount in the design of this application is the data-driven aspects of many of the processes - which ultimately has aided in the ease of adding new business, new clients and new business processes and the rules and regulations around this industry are shaped and evolve.
